COMMUNITY NAVIGATOR

Do you have strong roots in your Pacific community? Are you someone others turn to for support, advice and guidance? If so, you may be the person we're looking for. We're seeking a Community Navigator - a trusted, community-based leader who walks alongside Pacific whānau to support their wellbeing, self-determination and aspirations for a better future.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Engage with whānau and the wider community
  • Support the delivery of health and life-skills programmes
  • Provide cultural, emotional, and practical support
  • Guide whanau through health services and education
  • Keep records and uphold safety standards

WHAT HELPS

  • Background in Social Work or Community Support
  • Relevant qualification (preferred)
  • Pacific language skills (bonus!)
  • Strong ties with local churches, marae or clubs
  • NZ licence + right to work in NZ

  • A strong communicator with a heart for service
  • Culturally grounded with local knowledge
  • Self managing and calm under pressure
  • Tech confident and organised

COMMUNITY SUPPORT WORKER

Do you have a passion for helping others and strengthening communities? Join Baderdrive Community Trust as a Community Support Worker where your people skills and cultural understanding will make a real difference. You'll support individuals and whānau to access the right programmes, build life skills and improve wellbeing through people-centred, culturally safe services for our Pacific and Māori communities.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Engage with whānau and the wider community
  • Deliver health, wellbeing, and life-skills programmes
  • Provide cultural, emotional, and practical support
  • Guide whanau through services and referrals
  • Keep records and uphold safety standards

WHAT HELPS

  • Background in Social Work or Community Support
  • Qualification in community development or related field
  • Pacific language skills (a plus)
  • Trusted ties with churches, marae or local groups
  • Full, clean NZ licence and right to work in NZ

WHO YOU ARE

  • A strong communicator with empathy and respect
  • Culturally grounded with local knowledge
  • Calm under pressure and confident working independently
  • comfortable with basic tech and systems
